Walnut Creek Location/ Custom powder coating
This is a custom project that includes some high-quality powder coat by Maas Brothers in Livermore. They powder coated the turn signals, the headlight, the front fork legs, and the triple trees in gloss black. The headlight trim ring was powder coated Mirage Orange as well. This blends the front end in nicely with the factory paint job of Vivid Black and Mirage Orange Pearl.
The gloss black powder coat was also used on the electrical cover, the ignition coil cover, and as well as the battery cover.
The electrical box has an accent piece that stock comes painted silver. We used Tim and Rory at Unforgotten Customs to paint this piece Mirage Orange Pearl, since the piece was plastic and plastic doesn’t bake well in the oven!
The rear fender struts are stock chrome, which is nice, but chrome wasn’t the theme we were using for this bike, so the struts, the turn signals and the laydown license plate were all powder coated black.
We used a new flat black powder coat on the belt guard, the foot controls, the highway peg mounts, and the hand controls. This merges in the controls with the lower end of the bike well.
The whole point of this powder coat was to make the motor the only component on the machine that had chrome covers on it, essentially being the jewel of the bike. The Black and Orange paint job celebrate Harley’s 105 years of tradition. Come down to Walnut Creek to check out this one of a kind custom.
